NFL and NCAA fantasy football and sports betting tips

Even Kanye West couldn’t stop this show!

Posted on | September 17, 2009 by Just Plain Tim

T-Love is BACK,  and Big Mike went 75% last week on his NFL picks. All is well in our world.

First, the guys threw down the gauntlet to the Broncos: Chris Simms should be the starter in Denver. Then they expressed their disgust for the Tampa Defense, and advised the fantasy owners that have Cadillac Williams on their roster to use this week’s performance to lure in a running back-lite fantasy owner into a trade. Cadillac won’t make it through the season.

Then, we launched our new feature: The speed round, straight-up winner-loser picks without a spread for all of you with casual bets or football pools at the office. Here’s the college games:

West Virginia at Auburn
North Texas at Alabama
Georgia at Arkansas
Tennessee at Florida
Mississippi St. at Vanderbilt
La-Lafayette at LSU
SE Louisiana at Mississippi
Nebraska at Virginia Tech
Texas Tech at Texas
UAB at Troy

*T-Love’s picks
*Both picked

Then we moved on to NFL games with the spread:

Indianapolis vs. Miami (+3.5):
T-Love and Big Mike both like Miami and the points in this one.

Carolina vs. Atlanta (-6)
Big Mike takes Carolina and the points.

New Orleans vs. Philidelphia (-1)
Big Mike takes the Saints.

New England vs. New York Jets (+3.5)
Big Mike takes the Patriots.

T-Love broke out the teaser play this week. Add 3 points to the 6.5 points Houston is getting at Tennessee, giving Houston +9.5. On the other side of the play, subtract 3 points from the 3 Pittsburgh gives up to Chicago. Take Houston and the points and Pittsburgh in a pick ‘em

New York Giants vs. Dallas (-3)
T-Love takes the Giants and the points.

Tampa Bay vs. Buffalo (-5)
T-Love takes the Bucs and the points. Big Mike and I both vehemently disagreed. It got to the point that Big Mike and T-Love decided to bet on this game – no matter who wins, I get a new phone!

Seattle vs. San Francisco (-1.5)
T-Love started picking the Seahawks until Big Mike informed him Holmgren is no longer the coach… AAAAwwwwkward?!?! So he switched his pick to SF due to Samurai Mike, and we got to hear a couple verses of the Super Bowl Shuffle.

Then we had some discussion about my failures with the fairer gender. Ahem.

Finally, it was time for the NFL speed round, no point spread, for all you casual bettors and office pool junkies:

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans
New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles
Arizona Cardinals at Jacksonville Jaguars
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
Cincinatti Bengals at Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions
St. Louis Rams at Washington Redskins
New England Patriots at New York Jets
Carolina Panthers at
at Buffalo Bills
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
Baltimore Ravens at San Diego Chargers
Pittsburgh Steelers at Chicago Bears
Cleveland Browns at
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins

*T-Love’s picks
*Both picked

Awesome show. Thanks to the guys in security for keeping Kanye out of the football-pickers.com studio!
