There are only two seasons: Football and Recruiting.

It only takes a basic understanding of College Football to appreciate the beauty of a Saturday afternoon game anywhere South of the Mason-Dixon line. One sees smiling Alumnus anticipating a victorious afternoon for their team, one sees tanned fit blonde co-eds with colors of their respective schools face-painted on their dimpled cheeks and, most importantly, one sees the best competition week in and week out that college football has to offer.
I’m sure right now you are expecting one of those stat-filled columns about numbers of current NFL players from the SEC in comparison to players from the Pac-10. Nope, not today. Today it comes down to one simple point to prove which region of the good old USA produces the best competition in college football. The SEC just signed a fifteen year multi billion dollar agreement with ESPN to televise SEC sports. At approximately the same time, Stanford University is being forced to offer a money back guarantee to its fans if they don’t enjoy their teams home games.
Really, keep the numbers of NFL players, the history and pageantry of your respective school’s playing program and even keep the hot co-eds out of the argument, we all know when the rubber hits the road money talks and Bull*#it walks.
